About Us

Who We Are - We are two partners that come from totally different backgrounds.

Jerry Schafer - was disabled in a car accident in 1973 leaving him a quadriplegic and dependent on live-in caregivers to meet his daily needs. Over the years he has seen a huge decline in the quality of live-in help. He has found it difficult to find the quality live-in caregivers that he needed in Canada. In 1999 Jerry discovered a new way to find an unlimited number of qualified caregivers in other countries. From this new way, he hired a foreign caregiver from the Philippines. His experience from this arrangement has more than met his expectations. The result is that he has never been happier and felt more secure.

Ed Woolley - on the other hand has worked in the health care field for a number of years. He found that many of the individuals he worked with, both disabled and elderly, had many concerns about their care. They felt that they could not deal with them effectively. After he met with them in their homes, it was obvious that the quality of care was less than adequate for many clients. Another of his observations was the very high turnover of caregivers. Ed was very limited in what he could do for them even though he could see their needs.
With our combined experiences and understanding of the needs of both the caregivers and the clients, we decided that we could do something to help both parties have a happier and more productive life.
